Number of emails increasing

Now, I've always gotten my fair share of emails, but recently it has started getting of hand. A quick analysis of my logfiles shows that I had received a total of 115,799 emails between 27th of January and 22nd of October. Out of this 49,195 emails were marked as ham, while 66,604 got marked as spam, leaving a spam percentage of 58 percent.

What is more scary though is the development
spam development

Thankfully my spamfilter does a good job classifying spam messages, and my email filters a nice job of categorizing the incoming emails so that the information in them can make any kind of sense. Many are, thankfully, related to domain registrations through http://www.passive12.net , new client signups, reseller signups, pending orders, renewal notices, et cetera.

On top of that is a couple of mailing lists, GnuPG ( http://www.secure-my-email.com ) being one of them, SANE being another ( http://www.scanners-on-linux.com ).

After the introduction of RSS I've thankfully moved most news sites over to it, they used to account for the majority of emails before.

Due to a mistake on my behalf I don't have statistics from the 22nd of october untill today, and I hadn't noticed as I haven't checked the stats before now, but at least I jump-started it again, so I'll have more charts forwards.

Exam #1 coming to an end

My strategy exam is nearing an end, with a deadline to turn in the paper in Strategy tomorrow at 1500. We're approaching a paper that we are happy with, so handing it in will be a good feeling.

I was originally scheduled for yet another exam tomorrow, the first out of two exams for the first year of law school. Due to bad timing, and the fact that I enrolled to law school before I started working for Terra Funds Management I postponed both exams till next year. Hopefully I'll get around and doing some catching up over christmas.

That leaves the next exam; Strategic Cost Accounting for tuesday 28th.

In the meantime I'll try to figure a way to get more visitors to secure-my-email.com. You don't happen to have an idea yourself?

Exam period beginning

The exam period is upon me, and starting tomorrow I have a weekend take-home exam in Strategy. The other exams I'm enrolled to this semester are Strategic Accounting, Project Management, Business and Society II and Finance I.

I pushed the two exams from law school untill next semester, as the dates for the 8 hour exams were 20th and 22nd November, 20th being the day I deliver my home exam in Strategy. But it is still well within the limits I've put forth for myself, to have one or two years from law school by the time I finish my MSc in Business and Economics, with a major in finance.

Wish me luck
